Casual Catering Staff Job Desription

Job title:                Catering Assistant - Casual

 

Responsible to:      Conference Centre Co-ordinator

Hours:                    Casual hours as available, to include request for evening work and occasional weekends.

Rate of pay:           £6.15 per hour (at age over 21).  Hours worked after 6.00 pm and weekends paid basic rate plus 25%.

 

We are looking for a well presented and reliable person with good verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to delivering a high standard of customer service.  You must be able to demonstrate keen attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.  Level II Food Safety Certificate and experience of working in a catering / hospitality environment are desirable requirements.

 

 MAIN DUTIES

 

·        To work as a member of the Conference Centre team to achieve the objectives of the company, following the company’s systems and procedures.

·        To ensure that Clayton Park Conference Centre provides excellent service and customer care at all times.

·        To serve refreshments and buffets on time and in accordance with customers’ booking requirements.

·        To clear, prepare and set crockery in Conference Rooms.

·        To undertake dishwashing and assist with maintaining clean work areas in the kitchen.

·        To follow verbal and written instructions carefully and accurately.

·        To attend Conference Centre team meetings as required.

·        To undertake training as identified and agreed through personal reviews.

·        To undertake work as requested by the Conference Centre Co-ordinator.
