THE VIA PARTNERSHIP ACHIEVES INVESTORS IN PEOPLE GOLD!

28 June 2012

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the highest possible accolade for our long-standing commitment to staff development and training.

The Investors in People Gold award recognises the commitment to staff development that we have shown. We now join an elite group of organisations across the UK who have achieved the Gold standard.

As an established provider of careers advice, guidance, training and business courses, we have demonstrated the very best strategies for employee communication, development and engagement; and provided compelling evidence that all employees are fully engaged in the development of the business and of themselves.

Receiving Investors in People Gold status is the latest accolade for Via, we have also been shortlisted for three awards in the Be Inspired Business Awards which show cases the very best of Lancashire business talent.

Chief Executive, Karen O’Donoghue, said:  “This is an outstanding achievement by each and every employee within our organisation.

“We are incredibly proud to achieve the Gold standard and to be asked to go for “Champion” status as an exemplar of excellence is such a privilege.  The award demonstrates how we offer the highest standard of advice, guidance and training, with an exceptional level of customer experience, and that we invest heavily in our own workforce even in these tough times.”

Launched by the Government in 1991, Investors in People is the UK's leading people management standard.  Awarded to well-run organisations who demonstrate good management practice with a high emphasis on best practice, people management and development, the Standard encourages growth, profitability and efficiency and less than 1% of holders of the standard achieve Gold status

Via’s Company Chairman, Dr David Sanders, said: “Research shows that organisations that adopt a comprehensive approach to people development perform better than those without; Via’s commitment to our people translates directly into great delivery for the people of Lancashire”
